It is not logical.

Within the past hour, I (as well as the world) have heard of the passing of Leonard Nimoy, aka Mr. Spock.  I remember well watching Star Trek as a boy, and admiring Mr. Spock's logic and scientific reasoning.  I have even had the great pleasure of meeting the man himself at a Star Trek convention.  He signed a photograph for me.

I am openly crying as I write this, a 55 year old man with college degrees, a lovely wife and books to write.  It is not logical.

I am feeling as though my childhood has been hollowed out..  emptied in a sort of ripping sensation deep down inside me.  It is not logical.

I do not like death.  I am told it is inevitable, and will come to us all.  I still don't like it, nor do I feel I have to.  It enrages me.  It angers me that life has an end at all.  So much to do and see, so much beauty and love to give and recieve.

It is not logical.

And I am angry.

I miss him.

Writing in winter.

I hate winter now.  I used to like it.  I don't anymore.  I can't wanna.

However, it is giving me time to work on the new novel, and attend to other writing matters.  The cold keeps me inside..  warm and cozy, with coffee, my cigarettes and the blank screen staring at me with the ever urgent call to write.

Once was lost, and now is found!

Much and many thanks (and a garland of martian fire flowers) to our good friend and mentor, Charles McGraw for finding the lost files to a book I'd started (and lost!), entitled 'Ska'Uhl' (skay-OOL).

Greetings from the Obsidian Tower.

And yes...  I'm smiling.  Happy that we have got things working here at the Tower and the Glade, and able to make the first 7 chapters of our book `Stormalkers'  to you for free.  I truly hope you read them.  I think you will find a great story there in the storms.

At long last, dear friends, I am able to welcome you all to the Obsidian Tower.

The Obsidian Tower is my presence on the internet, a place where we can meet and discourse on all things me.  In matter of fact, rather, a place where I can express those things I am a part of and practice; writing, high fantasy, and other various topics of interest to myself and others.
